Lufthansa to Bring A380 to San Francisco

German airline Lufthansa announced via Twitter today that it will begin flying the world’s largest commercial aircraft, the Airbus A380, between Frankfurt and San Francisco beginning in May.

Lufthansa does not currently operate the A380 to the United States but will begin using the aircraft on February 28th between Frankfurt Airport and New York’s JFK International Airport.

Lufthansa is the second airline in the last week to announce that it will be using the A380 to and from  West Coast after Korean Air announced last week that it will begin service to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in October.
