Lufthansa A380

San Francisco International Airport will welcome the first regularly scheduled Airbus A380 tomorrow morning when the world’s largest plane arrives in the bay city according to The San Francisco Appeal.

A plane spotting party is planned at Bayfront Park in Millbrae at 11 a.m. to welcome an Airbus A380, operated by Lufthansa German Airlines.

The Airbus A380 will be the first jet of its kind to have regularly scheduled service at SFO and will fly between Frankfurt, Germany and San Francisco, according to the airport.

San Francisco International Airport’s International Terminal was constructed in 2000 and was one of the first airports in the world to build gates that were specifically designed to handle the A380.
